ORCAS SWIM TEAM

Orcas is a youth swimming team on the east side of Tucson. The mission of the Orca Swim Team is to help every ORCA reach their potential as a swimmer and as an individual while building a strong team commitment to the sport of swimming through the team values of:
Sportsmanship, Spirit, Motivation, Dedication, and Excellence.

2025 Season

We have closed registration for this year and will no longer be taking new registrations. If you have a question about registration, please reach out to orcasswimteamaz@gmail.com.

The Orcas is a tradition-filled swim community. We are an inclusive spring and summer youth swimming program, ages 4-18, on the east side of Tucson. We practice at the Girl Scout Hacienda, 3101 N. Sabino Canyon Rd.
Swim meets are held either at this pool or other Tucson pools.

Registration Information:

Fees: $350/first swimmer, $275/each additional

* Our yearly inter-team scrimmage meet, the Red/Black Meet, is coming up on Friday, May 16th at 5:00PM! Please sign up for volunteer jobs for this meet here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080945ACAC22A4F85-redblack2

* Spring practice times continue through Friday, May 23rd. We will switch to our summer practice schedule on Tuesday, May 27th.

* Our first fundraiser of the year is coming up on Tuesday, May 13th at the Chipotle on Grant.

Previous Announcements:
Saturday, March 23rd from 2:00 – 4:00 PM we will be holding an in-person registration and suit fitting at the Hacienda Pool in the Ramada area for those wanting to pay by check, cash or credit card (a processing fee will be charged for cc payments).
Please also bring birth certificates for your swimmers who are NEW to the team.

Champion will also be at the pool for you to get fitted for and purchase our team suit and any other gear you may need for the season.

This will also be a chance to meet/mingle with our new head coach, Kim Farr, as well as our assistant coach, Stefanie Kellogg, and two other assistant coaches.

We will also be cleaning up and organizing our closets, gear, pool covers, etc. so if you’re able to help out or your swimmer is looking for volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity.

Please add to your calendars now our MANDATORY parent meeting on April 1st @ 6:30 pm via Zoom.

April 7 – May 23
Monday – Friday
Ages 8 & under B*: 4:30-5:00 PM
Ages 8 & under A: 4:30-5:15 PM
Ages 9-10: 5:00-5:45 PM
Ages 11-12 (including some 13-14 age group)*: 5:45-7:00 PM
Ages 15-18 (including some 13-14 age group): 7:00-8:30 PM

May 27 – July 3
Monday – Friday
Ages 15-18 (including some 13-14 age group): 6:00-8:00 AM
Ages 11-12 (including some 13-14 age group): 8:00-9:30 AM
Ages 9-10: 9:30-10:30 AM
Ages 8U A*: 10:15 -11:00 AM
Ages 8U B*: 10:30-11:00 AM

*Coaches will let you know if your swimmer is in the 8U A or B
*If your swimmer is in the 13-14 age group, upon registration please indicate which practice time you prefer

Championships: July 7, 8 or 9th (actual date TBD per SAAA alignment) @ Oro Valley (Similar to 2024 – our all day final will be held one of these days and the Super Final will be the evening of Thursday, July10th)
